Hello! I’m Cassidy, but I go by Cass among friends. I’ve been an avid lover of writing and etymology since elementary school. I primarily write professionally, but I also love journaling and writing poetry. One of my personal goals is to publish a collection of poems in my lifetime, hopefully sooner rather than later! Another not-so-unique passion of mine is global travel. So far, I’ve been to seven countries (and counting). Each brief experience has taught me more about the essence of life in a matter of weeks than I’ve learned in years of domestic living. Needless to say, I’ll never stop exploring, and it will always be a priority to me. Lastly, as I develop a sense of self and positioning in the world around me, I will always strive to fight for others, act with empathy, see with an open mind, and serve the collective good.
A bit about my career (:
I graduated from Arizona State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. My educational journey began in Journalism, a field I was drawn to because of my love for writing. While I discovered that hard news wasn’t my ideal niche, I’ve since channeled this passion into content writing for magazines, PR firms, educational institutions and local brands.
As a young professional, I’ve had the opportunity to explore various specialties and garner new experiences. While working as a Staff Writer for Southlake Style magazine, I reported on a wide range of topics, adapted to different audiences, improved reader retention and met nuanced deadlines. I later wore different hats working as a Digital Communication and Website Manager for The Episcopal School of Dallas—operating the backend of multiple content management systems, digitally strategizing in B2C environments, adapting content and messaging to meet audience needs, and collaborating with numerous teams across departments to maintain brand standards.
As I continue my professional venture, I would love to learn more from fellow industry professionals who work in publishing, web design and development, public relations, and online marketing. In any occupation, I aspire to find new ways to revolutionize digital, social, and interpersonal communication. I am committed to continuing to pursue what drives me and am eager to be part of a team where I can collaborate, learn, and make meaningful contributions.
